Out of sight, ...Hello TB! Who loves ya? :) *waves*

Out of sight, out of mind doesn't apply to you, I'm afraid. Yet, I must apologize for my absence. I fell into a big emotional, time-forgetting hole for so long. Then, I saw you decided on a blogging hiatus, too. Next thing you know, two years have passed. Time flies not anymore; it dimension-travels. ;) This is to wish you a tardy Happy New year and to check upon you. So, how are you, my darling? :)

Big HuhgsWilmaryadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05521844359441132973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8894348667395386743.post-66640807224587379722011-11-02T04:41:51.533-07:002011-11-02T04:41:51.533-07:00So Melbourne it was, was it? Lol Does that ring that oh! so familiar 'we like that which we have but we'd rather like more that which we don't have'-bell?
Anyway, apart from the cold-bit, you sound as TB-ish as ever. You always seem to find the right questions, those that trigger off other questions, and so on and so on, ad infinitem. Mind games you want? What about this: I finally have left my rathole of a flat in the 18th arrondissement and moved into a wonderful new flat in a very posh suburb, just a stone's throw from the Bois de Boulogne forest-grounds. Moved as in 'moved together with boyfriend and dog', of course. And what do I do ever since? I dwell. So much, in fact, that I don't find the time to write. I just cook, and eat, and sit on my sofa, satisfied, relishing the warmth of central heating, and play cards with Séb, and shower my dog (does she NOT love the smell of being clean!) and daydream. And I'm really, really happy about that; yet my mind tells me that I should continue my novels, and comment on my friends' blogs, and do 1000 other things.

And if that's the lot of us humans? To always think about the things we haven't got instead of those we have?

Anyway, what you have, TB, is friends. I consider myself one of them. And next time I'l tread those Paris roads again (i.e. this evening, I gather), I'll say 'hello' to them from you. Well, for me it's just a date/year that seems to have significance for a lot of people and therefore, from a purely pragmatic perspective, it means that there will be a lot of people tuned in and motivated to take action.

It cou8ld just as easily be 6 November 2011...you know?

The thing for me is that if it can bring many people together for a cause as beautiful and loving as this, then I'm in and I'll encourage others to do the same. It's really about bringing collective and concentrated intent on to a singular objective.

Hope this makes some sense :) And thanks for leaving your comment.Thought Bubble Tenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13665668153611429559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8894348667395386743.post-87744923582481954712010-11-21T07:51:01.947-08:002010-11-21T07:51:01.947-08:00I hope that your willingness to read this response...I hope that your willingness to read this response is not based on whether I say that I am for or against this concept. I don't decry it in any way - it's just a personal reaction (to which I am entitled).

Noone has enough evidence to deny the claims that are made.

Many of us are crushed by our day to day life experiences to respond in a determined way to what is asked of us here. And isn't that something of a tragedy for humanity?

Certainly we have been manipulated into a mindset of consumerism, cynicism - an acceptance of the staus quo.

Why 2012?

That's what I would say in these few moments. Let's think about what is said here and give thanks to those who care about humanity enough to make the effort.

Good luck everybody!Mr_Toadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00295230785436730875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8894348667395386743.post-25925378580737238102010-07-18T11:30:08.963-07:002010-07-18T11:30:08.963-07:00Yes, I agree. And I strongly believe that every child should, if at all possible, have the experience of being with animals, caring for them, loving them - makes us better human beings. Here's part of what I said before to you on BC:

I'm sure there are many catlovers here who have at least some understanding of you feel after losing your cat. I'm sure they will be thinking of you.

Now is the time to think about about the good times you had together. My memories of one of my cats include her sleeping on the bed with me and having a favourite spot at the top of the stairs - took me a long time to realise that this was where the underfloor central heating pipes were laid!Mr_Toadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00295230785436730875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8894348667395386743.post-86152595138495031452010-04-14T17:39:22.148-07:002010-04-14T17:39:22.148-07:00I guess you just made me start thinking about many...I guess you just made me start thinking about many things - which is not surprising, considering that you have the courage to confront your innermost thoughts. These comments are a reaction to your posts, so they do not claim to be on-topic or anything (apologies!).

It seems to me that you are empathic (probably telepathic too, I should think! - me, I'm just telepathetic!!) and introspective (in a good way).

I thought about how we can all sometimes get caught in a net of introspection, which we see as a useful exercise, but which can be overdone. Introspection is a little world system which contains nothing else but us. So when we focus on this world alone, we naturally seek answers which relate to our own personality, character, memories and so on. We'll fasten on something for sure - but it might not be a valid answer. Maybe we need to look outside ourselves. Many times we should be making a real effort to escape this little world, meet people, take exercise, start a new project or whatever.

Well, I hope to return and read some more of your posts, they are certainly thought-provoking and perhaps apply to a lot of us - the ones who try to make sense of life, that is.

Oh, forgot to mention my favourite prayer the Desiderata. And here's my response :

"...when we transcend the mind and identify ourselves instead with the true source of our being." is something that is so worth doing but is, in my experience, not likely to happen through naval gazing or intellectual deliberation as you've said.

I feel the greatest sense of oneness/transcendence when I become very mindful and that can happen in sitting meditation or it can happen when I am engaged in other activities.

I have to say that this kind of experience goes beyond understanding. It is as if the intellect gives way to an awareness that ‘sees’ without attempting to organize. Make sense?

I really do appreciate your 2 cents worth.
